Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across secondary schools in Thetford and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach within your subject specialism wherever possible
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of different learners
  • Follow school policies and behaviour management procedures
  • Leave clear and professional handovers for permanent teaching staff
  • Mark work in line with each school's marking policy where required

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be adaptable, reliable, and confident teaching across different school settings
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

ECTs are encouraged to apply and will receive ongoing support from our experienced consultants.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS
  • Have experience teaching Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 pupils
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport, as travel to schools across Thetford and the surrounding areas is an essential part of the role
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
