The Southampton Secondary school are seeking a teacher of Geography, on a full time, fixed term basis to commence in January 2021. The school promotes a rich curriculum which is both aspirational and inspirational, to encourage and challenge students of all abilities. With a recent overall report of ‘Good’, Ofsted said that ‘In certain subject areas, teaching and learning are securing very successful outcomes for pupils. Pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment. They are guided effectively, through well considered and supportive advice’
Ideally you will:
- Have an enthusiastic, flexible, creative, and ambitious approach in everything you do.
- To plan, and prepare courses for interesting, challenging, and motivating lessons
- Have high expectations of self and students to raise achievement
- A shared vision to nurture curious, reflective young people who leave school equipped to embrace the world and reach their full potential.
- Encourage children to do their personal best, enjoy their school experiences and build upon their successes
- The ability to teach Geography at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
