Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school in Eccles. Due to a restructure within the Humanities department, the school wish to appoint a Geography teacher on a full time basis to join themselves following the Christmas break, from January 2019 until the end of the academic year initially.

The successful Geography teacher will initially be appointed on a full time temporary basis until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent Geography teaching position in the new academic year (2019/2020)

  • Full time Geography teacher required, January 2019 start (or sooner if possible).

The school has recently been fully refurbished through the Salford Schools Improvement Programme, meaning there are large open spaces for learning in each department. The Humanities department also has access to a computer room in order to create projects relating to specific topics. The incoming Geography teacher will have the opportunity to create diverse lessons that cater to the needs of each pupil to ensure progress is being made.

With 800 pupils on roll at present, the school is slightly smaller than the national average. The Humanities department is made up of six Humanities teachers, and four specialist teaching assistants to support learning in the department.

Situated in Eccles, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M602 and the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that provide a direct route to the school.
