Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client secondary school in the Middlesbrough area who are looking to recruit a Teacher of Geography to teach KS3 and KS4 to start immediately. This will be a long-term position until the end of the academic year to cover a maternity.

The role

  • Full time position 
  • You will be required to teach Geography to secondary school pupils between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 and KS4)
  • Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required 
  • Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
  • Competitive rates of pay

Requirements for the role

  • Must have QTS and experience teaching Geography to GCSE
  • Strong behaviour management  
  • Will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to pupils
  • Will be required to apply for a Child Only Workforce Enhanced DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service

  • Grade 5 or above in English and Maths at 43% compared to the local authority's school of 37%

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
