Geography Teacher

Join a vibrant secondary academy, seeking to appoint a full time Geography teacher from Easter – July. We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced teachers looking to secure a long term position.

Highlights of this Geography teacher position:

  • Full time position commencing at Easter and running until the end of the academic year
  • Planning, preparing and delivering KS3 and GCSE Geography lessons to mixed ability groups across the full age range
  • Salary to reflect pay scale and teaching experience (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
  • Modern secondary academy located in South Manchester, easily accessible from the M60 motorway

The successful applicant will be a well qualified Geography teacher with recent experience in planning, preparing and delivering KS3 and GCSE Geography. They will join a forward thinking and supportive Humanities department and will work collaboratively with staff members to implement engaging lessons across years 7 – 11. We are looking for a passionate teacher who will be able to engage students of all learning abilities and backgrounds.

Successful candidates must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Recent experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Geography
  • Excellent classroom management and a genuine desire to help students achieve the best possible outcomes

This popular secondary academy has been on an excellent journey in recent years and has been locally and nationally recognised for its significant improvements. In a recent Ofsted report, the academy was judged to be ‘Good’ with a strong and determined leadership team. Due to recent investments, the school now has excellent state of the art facilities including modern well resourced classrooms.

For those on public transport, the academy is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the academy is located a 20 minute drive from the city centre.
