Geography Teacher
Job description
Are you a passionate and dedicated Geography teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bury is seeking a full-time Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to complete their induction in a supportive school environment.
About the Role:

Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, following an engaging and inclusive curriculum.

Inspire students to explore the world, both physical and human, and help them develop critical thinking and map-reading skills.

Use innovative strategies to ensure excellent progress for all pupils.

Work closely with the Humanities department to share resources and contribute to planning.

Play a full role in the wider school community, including parent's evenings and extracurricular activities.
What We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
-
Specialism or strong experience in teaching Geography
-
A passion for education and the ability to motivate young people
-
Excellent subject knowledge and behaviour management skills
-
Willingness to support and be supported as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
