About the School

My secondary school are looking for a new Geography teacher to join their strong team. They are looking for a positive and hard working candidate who will add benefit to this brilliant school. The school is set in spacious surroundings and would be great place to work, spending time in nature. The school promote equal opportunities for all students and this ethos permeates every aspect of school life

The full-time Geography teacher role will begin in September and the successful candidate will be teaching KS3 and 4. The ideal candidate will be a friendly person, but a teacher who can control a class and has strong behavioural control.

Ofsted have rated the school as "good" stating the leadership have maintained a good quality of education.

About the role

Geography Teacher

Ages 11-16 (KS3-5)

5 days a week

A long term, full time role beginning in September

Creating informative and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum

The school expect the incoming geography to have strong class room and behaviour control

There will be an expectation to create lesson plans and mark the student's work.

Location

The school is accessible via Castle Bar Park station (10 minute walk).

Requirements

A UK recognised teaching qualification (BA QTS, BSc QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)

Experience teaching geography at secondary school (from KS3-KS4)

Expect a strong and dedicated character
