General Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at our primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

-       Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.

-       Work with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development.

-       Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.

-       Help maintain a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

-       Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum.

-       Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and activities.

You will need:

-       A genuine passion for working with children and helping them thrive.

-       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-       Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

-       Experience working in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).

-       Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) are an advantage.
