General Cover Teacher

A ‘Using’ Colne Primary School (BB9) require an experienced Year 6 class teacher to cover a maternity leave – to start after the Chritmas holidays.

• Must have recent upper KS2 experience
• The position is full time so the candidate must be available 5 days a week – to run until July 2017.
• This good graded school in Colne has a supportive staff structure which is evident from the staffroom environment.

The Head teacher would like to attract a good Year 6 teacher to join the already excellent staffing team. Applicants should have recent experience working in year 6 & have a proven record of improving pupil’s attainment levels, and evidence of consistent good or outstanding observations. Recent experience of supporting pupils through their Year 6 SATS testing would be desirable.

The school is larger than average, 2 form entry school and has a mixed catchment area, mainly children who come from Punjabi and Urdu background, with a small percentage of eastern European pupils attend the school.

The staffs are innovative and creative, delivering inspiring lessons relevant to the children’s lives and experiences. They have wonderful children from a diverse range of backgrounds, who love to learn, and participate fully in lessons. Behavior is outstanding & pupils make good progress across all the year groups.
