Graduate teaching assistant

  • Full time and part time positions available at this secondary school in Bury

Secondary teaching assistants required at a Bury secondary school.

Are you a graduate looking to gain further experience within secondary education as a teaching assistant prior to going onto a teacher training course next year?

If so, our client school have the perfect opportunity for you to further your experience and prepare you with the essential skills to be successful gaining a place on a PGCE course in the future.

*Full time and part time teaching assistant positions available

*Supporting pupils within your subject specialism area (Maths, English, Science)

*Delivering tailored tuition to enhance the learning and development of pupils aged 11-16

*Attractive rates of pay and invaluable experience

The Headteacher and SENCO of this school seek to appoint a combination of strong academic graduates and experienced teaching assistants. For those interested in this excellent opportunity, it is essential that you hold previous experience working within secondary education, supporting a range of pupils ranging in abilities (Previous tuition experience within secondary schools is an advantage).

The successful applicants will be joining a fun, friendly and vibrant support team. You will hold a number of responsibilities including;

*Supporting pupils within Maths, English and Science

*Delivering additional tuition to pupils on a 1:1 basis

*Liaising in partnership with the SENCO to support pupils with moderate learning difficulties

Located in Bury, the school is just a short drive from the M66 motorway. Access is straight forward to the surrounding areas and the public transport links make Manchester, Bolton, Salford and Rochdale easily accessible via the Metrolink tram and also bus routes.
