General Cover Supervisor

  • Part Time Cover Supervising post in Wardle, starting in September
  • Gain invaluable experience prior to starting a teacher training programme
  • Attractive pay rates starting from £50+ a day

A school located in Rochdale, is currently seeking a part time cover supervisor to join their team in September 2017. This position is initially on a temporary basis but with the opportunity to become permanent.

The school is situated in a semi-rural area by the M62 with excellent access to Manchester city centre, and boasts several transport links nearby.

•Part time Cover Supervisor post, for the full academic year

•Gain an understanding of different teaching strategies and behaviour management

•Cover pre-set lessons in the absence of the teacher across KS3 and KS4

•Competitive pay rates of up to £60 a day dependant on experience

•Due to an increasing strong academic record and their excellent reputation within the local

This is a larger than average secondary school and due to their consistently increasing academic record and positive reputation within the local community and has recently grown in size with over 1200 students currently on roll. The school currently meets the government’s floor standard which sets the minimum expectations for student’s attainment and progress.

Cover supervising will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to enable you to excel in the future teacher training programmes. As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher and providing 1:1 support for identified students who have not met their minimum levels of attainment.

*Previous experience working with youths aged 11-16 in an educational setting is essential*
