Future Teachers Graduate Training Programme – Wigan
Location: Wigan (Across Partner Primary Schools)
Start Date: September 2025 (flexible start available)
Contract: Full Academic Year (Fixed-Term, Paid Role)

Our Future Teachers Graduate Training Programme in Wigan offers a structured, paid route into primary education — ideal for graduates who want to gain hands-on school experience before progressing to teacher training (PGCE or SCITT).
We welcome applications from graduates in English, Maths, Science, Psychology, Humanities, or related fields who are passionate about inspiring the next generation of learners.
About the Programme:
You’ll work across a selection of Wigan primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor, supporting pupils’ learning while developing your classroom confidence and professional teaching skills.
You’ll Benefit From:

Who We’re Looking For:
- A degree in a relevant subject area.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to pursue a teaching career.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
