Level 2 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Orrell (WN5)

Salary: Pay-to-scale, dependent on experience and qualifications

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Orrell (WN5) area who are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, helping them access learning and achieve their individual targets.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider school staff to adapt learning materials and approaches.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through consistent support and guidance.
• Promote inclusion by supporting participation in classroom activities and school routines.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and wellbeing as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional learning needs, ideally within a primary school.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
