Future Teachers Programme

The programme is designed to help address the teacher shortages across England & Wales by attracting bright graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain practical experience before enrolling in initial teacher training (ITT).

You will begin your journey to teaching working at one or a number of our client SEN Schools near where you live for up to a year.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor, you will engage in a range of tasks to get a full feel of what it would be like to be a teacher, from supporting pupils with their studies in small groups and 1:1, to assisting class teachers across all departments including your specialism and getting involved with planning/delivering your own lessons!

Benefits

Best of all, you will earn up to £1,200 a month for your first year whilst enhancing your confidence, subject knowledge and teaching ability prior to beginning your training.

To provide graduates with the best opportunities for success at the start of their careers, we are delighted to give you free access to six online support modules provided by our partner company Best Practice Network.

The modules available are:

  1. Pedagogy and Practice
  2. Curriculum
  3. Assessment
  4. Behaviour
  5. SEND
  6. Professional Behaviours

Badges are rewarded for the successful completion of each module.
