Future Teachers Programme (September 2019 start)

Any Graduates interested in becoming a secondary teacher in the future will have the chance to secure a full time Graduate Teaching Assistant role on a 12 month basis, prior to beginning your teacher training in September 2019.
What is the Future Teachers Programme?
The Future Teachers Programme is designed to help address the teacher shortages across England & Wales by attracting and supporting bright graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain practical experience before enrolling in formal teacher training.
How does it work?
Successful graduates who begin our Future Teachers programme will take on a variety of responsibilities within our client school, whereby you will be required to support pupils within your subject specialism department. This will be a full time role within an allocated school in the Bolton LEA where you will undertake a variety of tasks and activities that will give you a good understanding as to the role of a teacher. A significant proportion of these tasks and activities will also benefit your subject knowledge as you will focus on raising pupil attainment, supporting special needs pupils, covering classes, assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and delivering small group tuition sessions.

This is a paid opportunity whereby you will have the opportunity to earn money (£1080 per month) whilst learning and building the skill set required to be successful when you begin your teacher training course.

All applicants are required to have completed their degree by summer 2019, with the school looking to recruit graduates across all subject areas, with particular focus on; English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, MFL and Physical Education. To be successful in gaining a position on our Future Teachers Programme, you will be passionate about becoming a secondary teacher in the future and must be able to commit to the programme on a full time basis (Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 3.00pm) from September 2019 until July 2020.
