Future Teacher – Graduate Programme – Manchester Secondary Schools
Location: Manchester
Pay: £89 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Start Date: September 2025 (earlier starts available)
Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching? Would you like to gain paid, practical experience in a classroom before committing to teacher training?
Teaching Personnel is offering a structured graduate programme for aspiring teachers looking to work in secondary schools across Manchester. Our Future Teacher Programme allows you to develop valuable classroom skills and experience, with a pathway into formal teacher training after 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils aged 11–16 across a range of subjects

Working alongside teaching staff to support learning and manage behaviour

Leading small group interventions in English, Maths or your subject specialism

Covering lessons in the absence of teachers as a Cover Supervisor

Receiving ongoing training in behaviour management, safeguarding, and lesson planning
We’re looking for:

Recent graduates (any subject) with a passion for education
-
Confident communicators with a proactive approach
-
Individuals considering a PGCE, Schools Direct or SCITT route in 2026

Candidates with prior experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
