Graduate Cover Supervisor – Manchester

Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time or part-time, term-time only
Are you a recent graduate looking to start a career in education? Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across Manchester secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain school-based experience and develop essential teaching skills in a supportive environment.
The Role:
You will be responsible for supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences. Lessons will be planned and prepared by the class teacher, but you will be expected to:

Manage pupil behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment

Answer questions and provide guidance where possible
-
Ensure lesson objectives are delivered and work is completed
-
Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson delivery and behaviour
What We’re Looking For:

A degree in any subject (minimum 2:2 preferred)

Confidence to manage a classroom and communicate clearly
-
Resilience, adaptability and a proactive attitude
-
A genuine interest in education or working with young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
