Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated tutors to deliver focused support in English, Maths, and Science across Carlton and the wider Nottinghamshire area. Whether you are a qualified teacher or an experienced private tutor, this is a meaningful opportunity to help young people build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve academic success.


About the Role

As a tutor, you will provide one-to-one or small group tuition, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs. Your support will help learners overcome challenges, strengthen their subject knowledge, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored tuition sessions based on each student’s needs

  • Support academic progress through clear planning, instruction, and feedback

  • Track student development and adjust your teaching approach as needed

  • Build learner confidence and encourage a positive approach to education


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English, Maths, or Science

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed) is an advantage

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
