Are you a passionate and dedicated tutor looking to make a real difference? We are currently seeking a Functional Tutor to work in a supportive educational setting in Swadlincote (DE11), helping learners with additional needs reach their full potential.

Location: Swadlincote, DE11
Job Type: Part-time / Ongoing
⏰ Schedule: Monday to Friday – School Hours
Setting: SEN / Alternative Provision

✨ About the Role

You will be working closely with students who require additional support, delivering engaging and tailored sessions in Functional Skills (English & Maths). This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners on a 1:1 or small group basis and positively impact their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills lessons in English and/or Maths
• Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs
• Support students with SEN, SEMH, or additional barriers to learning
• Track progress and provide regular feedback
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment

✅ Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills curriculum
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Relevant teaching/tutoring qualification (desirable but not essential)
