Job description

Job Title: SEND Support Worker 
Location: Leeds
Start Date: September 2025 

We’re looking for a SEND Support Worker to join a brilliant specialist school this September. The team is warm, the children are amazing, and the difference you will make will be demonstrable.

What the role involves:
1:1 and small group support with pupils who have complex needs
Helping learners feel safe, supported and confident
Working closely with teachers, therapists and families
Using de-escalation and trauma-informed strategies (training provided if needed!)

You should have:
✅ Experience with children or young people with SEND (in or out of school) - three months minimum in the UK
✅ A calm, kind approach—especially when things get tricky
✅ Good communication and heaps of patience
✅ An interest in learning Thrive or similar approaches
