The role is to start in September 2020 on a permanent full time basis. The role will involve teaching French across KS3 and KS4 covering the GCSE syllabus. The school are seeking an experienced teacher who would be able to make an impact within the successful modern foreign language department from the new academic year!

The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent, along with up to date subject knowledge with experience teaching within a secondary school setting. The school are willing to pay the successful candidate according to mps/ups!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planning and marking, plan lessons which differentiate for individual needs.
  • Continually provide constructive feedback to pupils to enable them to fullfill their potential.
  • Utilise the extensive resources and materials made available within the school within lessons. .
  • Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
  • Communicate with parents and carers over pupil’s progress and participate in departmental meetings, parent’s evenings and whole school training events.
  • Liaise with other professionals when required, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers.
  • Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants.

Applicant Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Up to date subject knowledge, desirable to have a subject related degree.
  • Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
  • Be able to commit to a Full time permanent position starting in  September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
