Our client secondary school located in the Trafford area is looking to recruit a French and Spanish teacher to start with them following the Easter break. The successful French and Spanish teacher will be required for a full term in the first instance with the opportunity to progress on to a school based contract given the nature of the vacancy within their Languages department. As the appointed French and Spanish teacher, you will be expected to teach French up to GCSE and Spanish up to KS3. The role of the French and Spanish teacher will involve planning and marking as well as taking part in intervention in anticipation of the GCSE examinations in May/June.

Key aspects of this French and Spanish teaching position:

  • Full time French and Spanish teacher required for the duration of 1 term in the first instance
  • Option to progress onto a school based contract for the suitable applicant
  • Pay will range between £500 - £800 per week depending upon experience and teacher's payscale
  • Teach on a full time basis at this highly reputable and supportive secondary school
  • Located in the Trafford area easily accessible via public transport (Metrolink) as well as the M60, M56 and A56 running through Trafford

This co-educational secondary school is the school of choice for staff, parents and students alike in the local educational authority of Trafford. The school prides itself on student centred education with behaviour at the school being regarded as exemplary. The students are highly respectful of each other and staff making this school a desirable place to work for any teacher. The MFL department is well thought of with students studying a range of languages including French and Spanish from year 7 onwards. The uptake on languages is particularly high given the hard work and dedication put into the department by the Head of Languages and the whole school.

The school is located in the Trafford area, specifically Altrincham making it very easy to commute to for French and Spanish teachers travelling by public transport or car. The school is close to the local train station as well as the local metrolink tram network servicing Greater Manchester. For those languages teachers travelling by car, the school is close to the M60 and M56 motorway networks and is set in very pleasant surrounding with a large on site car park.
