Family Liaison Officer
Position: Family Liaison Officer
Location: Burnley Area
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
Are you passionate about supporting families and making a difference in students' lives? We are looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated team at an Alternative Provision in the Burnley area. If you have a talent for building strong relationships and fostering communication between home and school, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary link between school and home, supporting families and students to overcome barriers to learning.
- Provide guidance and support to parents/carers on a range of issues, including attendance, well-being, and access to external services.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and ensure all students have the support they need both in and out of school.
- Organise and attend meetings with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure effective communication and outcomes.
- Help to promote a positive school ethos and contribute to the well-being and safeguarding of all students.

What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with families and young people, ideally in an educational or social care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport.
- A proactive, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to supporting families.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to work collaboratively with external agencies.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable students and their families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
