EYFS Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Teaching Personnel is working with an average sized primary school in the Oldham area (OL9) to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant. The role is full time and starts ASAP. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career.

The Primary School is part of a multi-academy trust, which is known for its high expectations for all students. It is in a brand new state of the art building, with excellent resources for all students and teachers. This is a supportive school for both staff and pupils, which has a very stimulating environment. The students are really well behaved and have a positive outlook on learning, they strive to be the best that they can be. Positive behaviour is encouraged throughout the school.

This is an inclusive school with a high level of EAL. The students learn from a language rich curriculum which allows them to make good progress by the end of KS2. All of the teachers throughout the school are determined to raise attainment and have excellent subject knowledge. They really want their students to do well and create engaging lessons which cater their students' individual needs.

Students start in the EYFS department with low skills for their age, and some have high EAL needs. The students at this school make excellent progress in the EYFS department, due to the brilliant staff and the stimulating environment. By the end of reception, they have made great progress and are ready to enter KS1. Students learn from a language rich curriculum, as well as interactive and engaging lessons. The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant must be bubbly and be willing to interact with the students in order to enhance their learning. They must have a real passion for teaching.

  • Be enthusiastic and committed
  • Have the relevant teaching assistant/ childcare qualifications
  • Have a real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with
  • Have experience working with EYFS students
