EYFS Teaching Assistant Newcastle

Are you a talented and enthusiastic early years' teaching assistant? Are you passionate about making sure every child has the best possible start to their education?

Teaching Personnel are looking for fantastic new teaching assistants who specialise in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our team due to high demand from our client schools across the Newcastle region. We are able to offer work on a part time and a full time basis in a variety of nurseries and schools across Newcastle.

The role will include:

  • Helping EYFS children in the earliest stages of their education
  • Assist with the development of children both emotionally and eventually academically
  • Provide the children with a positive role model whom they can look up to
  • Communicate with the teachers to create strategies to target any specific pupils who are struggling for whatever reason
  • Work together with the primary care giver to help make each day a positive, happy experience for the children
  • Help create a safe learning environment where children feel comfortable and therefore thrive

Candidate Requirements:

The successful candidate will have some experience inside the EYFS environment, potentially within schools or nurseries. Experience working as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant is desired. Alongside this, the candidate should:

  • Highly motivated to help every pupil achieve their full potential
  • Willing to develop unique strategies to encourage and care for individual students
  • Passionate about the care and development of every child
  • Experience dealing with a variety of behavioural types from young children
  • Up to date knowledge of issues within the EYFS environment
