Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant BD6

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Bradford

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

Salary: £77 - £95 per day

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher in delivering educational activities and lessons
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning materials
  • Supervising and interacting with children in the classroom and during outdoor activities
  • Supporting children with their personal care needs, including toileting and feeding
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Basic First Aid training

Education:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting
  • Experience following EYFS curriculum guidelines

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy towards children

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Previous experience as an EYFS Teaching Assistant

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility required to work additional hours if needed
  • Working in a classroom and outdoor environment with young children
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
