EYFS Teacher

- Sector: Primary Education

- Location: Leeds LS17

Date Posted: 07/06/2021                       Closing Date: 01/08/2021           Star Date From: September School Term 2021

The Headteacher of a Primary School in Harewood (LS17) is seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teacher.

  • Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Primary School
  • September 2021 start date
  • Temporary role with the potential to earn a permanent contract

Due to the disruption caused by Covid-19, the school predicts that certain students may need extra support, especially with Phonics. The main focus for the Easter term will be to evaluate the progress of each pupil and to address any gaps in learning.

The school is looking for a committed individual who understands the national curriculum and who can inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential. Whilst preparing the pupils for entry into KS1, you will work towards the school’s values of resilience, independence and tolerance.

The school would like to recruit someone who is able to make a positive difference in the classroom, most notably by developing student confidence. We are therefore looking for individuals who share in the belief that all children can achieve, regardless of their starting point.

Successful candidates will:

  • Have QTS and experience of working within an EYFS classroom
  • Understand the importance of developing the moral, social and cultural needs of pupils, via a range of learning of opportunities
  • Have a track record of improving EYFS outcomes, particularly in phonics
