A school in Accrington are looking for a Speech and Language Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who is currently working in their Reception Class. Your roll would be to use your experience and knowledge of Speech and Language Support, to help the child in the classroom during Class activities.

The school is rated by Ofsted as 'Good' school and is recognised for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The School is a mixed ability School with the children predominantly being from white British backgrounds.

There is a high amount of Pupil Premium children, Looked After Children (LAC) and children with Special Educational Needs. The School is in a fairly deprived area and due to this the Head Teacher has stated she wants a practitioner with fantastic behaviour management and who has a good understanding of coping with emotional and social issues.

The salary is based on a 6.5 hour day position held Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £8.40-£10.50 per hour. Additional salary may increase depending on the interest of welfare.
