Job Opportunity: EYFS Practitioners

Are you a forward-thinking, caring, proactive, and dynamic individual seeking an exciting opportunity in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education? We are currently recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join nurseries and support the development of children under 5 years old.

Qualification Required: The ideal candidate must possess a Level 2/3 qualification in childhood or childcare, education studies, or a similar relevant field.

Desired Skills: The successful Teaching Assistant will demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Planning and observation of Early Years children to support and advance their development.
  • Utilizing IT-based progression tools, such as iPads, Tablets, and computers, to document progress through pictures and videos (e.g., Tapestry).
  • Realizing child development through meticulous observation and assessment.
  • Proficiency in the 'Personal Care' side of nurturing children, adapting skills to varying needs within different settings.

Additional Desirable Skills: Other desirable skills include:

  • Skills appropriate to Speech and Language therapy or development.
  • An energetic and vibrant approach to childcare.
  • A caring and nurturing personality.
  • Skills in observing Speaking and Listening abilities.
  • A happy and fun persona to align with the nursery environment's positive atmosphere.

Role Overview: As part of our team, you will be assigned to various schools/Nursery’s in Grimsby and surrounding areas. Access to transportation is preferred, and flexibility is essential for both scheduled and short-notice bookings.

Your day-to-day activities will revolve around small groups of children under your care or as part of a team supporting a larger group. As a Nursery Class Assistant, you will engage children in daily activities to enhance their progression and monitor their development. Basic behavior management skills are required to maintain an effective learning environment.

Your caring, loving, and passionate approach will provide children with a safe and joyful space to explore their abilities, ensuring they feel included and valued throughout their learning journey. Your goal is to offer children the best possible start to their educational experience and celebrate their successes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
