Job description

Primary Supply Teachers: Opportunity Overview:

Teaching Personnel is actively seeking experienced primary school supply teachers for a May start! Our partnered schools in the Grimsby region had a huge demand for ad hoc supply teachers throughout the last term and expect this to continue from next year!

Role Dynamics:

Given the diverse requirements of the role, prospective candidates must be prepared to work across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2), highlighting the significance of adaptability and versatility in fulfilling this position. Possessing Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and prior experience within the context of a UK Primary School are non-negotiable prerequisites for applicants.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

This opportunity is well-suited for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking to accumulate valuable experience across a spectrum of schools before transitioning into a permanent role. Likewise, Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs) who desire a role with greater flexibility and fewer commitments than traditional full-time class teaching will find this position appealing.

Key Requirements:

Key requirements for applicants include QTS status or a PGCE qualification. An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory, and we offer assistance in obtaining this clearance. Candidates are expected to provide two references from prior teaching employment, and training in safeguarding is vital, with support available in this regard.

Essential Considerations:

Applicants must hold a permanent UK address, and it is essential to note that sponsorship with a visa cannot be provided. Therefore, candidates must possess a visa that permits them to work in the UK.

Next Steps:

If this role aligns with your professional aspirations, we encourage you to contact us promptly using the provided phone number or email address. Your expertise is crucial in meeting the heightened demand for supply teachers in the Grimsby area.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
