EYFS Level 3 Teaching assistant
Job description
A warm and welcoming primary school in Birmingham (B29) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and nurturing school that places a strong emphasis on early development, wellbeing, and play-based learning.
About the Role
You will be based within the Nursery, working closely with the Class Teacher and Early Years team to support children during this crucial stage of their development. The role involves supporting learning through promoting independence, encouraging play-based learning, and helping to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
• Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS Framework
• Work with small groups to support targeted learning and development
• Assist with daily classroom routines and learning activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other Teaching Assistants
What We’re Looking For
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
• Proven experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
• Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
