Teaching Assistant – Experienced Primary Support
Location: Halewood (L25)
Start Date: October 2025
Schedule: Flexible (full-time or part-time available)

Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Halewood that is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in classroom support who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young learners.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support the planning and delivery of lessons, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and contribute to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The role also involves supporting the wider emotional and pastoral needs of pupils, helping them to feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.

This is a flexible role that can be adapted to suit your availability, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting classroom learning under the guidance of the teacher
  • Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning and deliver targeted interventions
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with the preparation of resources and classroom materials
  • Contributing to a caring, inclusive, and respectful school environment

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is essential
  • Confident supporting children across a range of abilities and needs
  • Skilled at delivering academic and pastoral support
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and families
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
