 Start Date: October 2025
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: £120 – £232.56 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Kirkby, which is seeking a talented Year 1 Teacher to join their team from October 2025.

The Role:

  • Deliver creative and stimulating lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum, focusing on developing early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Foster a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leadership to ensure consistent progress and personalised learning.
  • Use ongoing assessment to adapt your teaching and ensure that all pupils make strong progress, regardless of starting point.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome.
  • A solid understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 1 learning goals.
  • A nurturing, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
