English Teacher required for a high achieving secondary school in Warrington.

This is to cover for an extended leave of absence in the English department from Easter 2018.

  • Full time English Teacher
  • English teaching across KS3 and GCSE (KS4)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience (£22,917-£38,633)
  • The opportunity to work in a well reputed school which has made the most progress of out of all within the local area over the last few years.
  • Required to start from Easter 2018 until the summer initially with a strong possibility of this extending from September.

The Manchester West Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of our client secondary school located in Warrington. This is a slightly smaller than average sized secondary school with just short of 900 pupils on role.

Due to a gap within their English department from Easter, this rapidly improving 11-16 school have the ideal opportunity for any English teachers looking to secure a new progressive role.

"Due to a member of staff moving on to take promotion, we have an opportunity for an English teacher to join our rapidly improving department ahead of April 2018. Over time, the outcomes of pupils in our English department have been broadly average, however the progress of pupils is currently improving and assessment information indicates our pupils' progress to be above average this year." Head of English

This school wish to appoint an English teacher who is comfortable delivering up to GCSE English and who can provide engaging lessons to pupils of all abilities. The incoming English teacher will be provided with full support from an experienced teaching department and will have the privilege of teaching pupils whose behaviour is good and those who show respect for one another and for their teachers.

Located in Warrington, the school is easily accessible via the M60, M56 and M6 motorways making it ideal for those who live in the Liverpool and Wigan areas also.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
