English teacher required for Outstanding School in SE London

A school located in South East London are seeking to recruit an Outstanding teacher of English to join their successful department on a full time basis with the view to start immediately.

The role will include teaching KS3 and KS4 so a good subject knowledge is essential, a previous record of planning and delivering high quality lessons is also important. The school has a strict behaviour policy implemented by the Head, and this has filtered down through the senior leadership team, as a result there is a positive atmosphere around the school.

The English department is a strength of the school and the successful candidate would be joining a team of strong and supportive professionals. Their recent GCSE grades have had steady improvement year on year since 2011 and the department received special mention in the recent Ofsted report.

Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including NQT's and both British trained teachers and overseas trained teachers will be considered for this position. All applicants should have UK QTS or an overseas formal secondary school teaching qualification.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
