Engaging English Teacher with experience of teaching GCSE students – Does this sound like you?

Our improving partner school provides great support and training to employees and requires a teacher with a real passion for English language to teach pupils of secondary school age.

The school has excellent IT facilities, to support their staff in delivering the good quality of education every pupil deserves. The school is commutable from Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket, St. Neots, St. Ives, Huntingdon, March, Peterborough, Cottenham, Histon, Waterbeach and all other surrounding areas.

The role is available for a fixed term (Maternity Cover), with the opportunity of gaining a permanent contract with the school. Expect to take on a full teaching role, with duties to include:

  • Planning, teaching and marking
  • Attending parents evenings and conducting consultations with parents
  • Creating reports
  • Organising and supporting extra-curricular activities such as trips out and after-school sessions

The ideal candidate could be a Newly Qualified Teacher, Fully Qualified Teacher or Overseas Trained Teacher. You must be available to work at minimum of one full term.

If successful with your application, you will be required to provide previous employment references and apply for a new DBS, unless you already have a current one on the DBS Update Service.
