Teaching Personnel is working with an Alternative Provision to appoint a full time Teacher of English to start in Easter 2021. The Alternative Provision provides education for a range of KS3 & 4 students who have been, or are at risk of permanent exclusion from their mainstream School. 

We are looking for a passionate teacher with:

  • Qualified Teacher status (QTS)
  • Relevant Degree
  • Successful classroom experience of Quality First Teaching 
  • An ability to build positive relationships with our students
  • Flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations;

The Job:

  • Full Time across their two sites; MPS and UPS Teachers will be considered
  • Teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English
  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students, in accordance with the aims of the curricular policies determined by the Head of Provision and the Strategic Management team
  • To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/ instructor/Form Tutor 
  • To be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area
  • To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area, including  developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others
  • Work with members of the Senior Leadership Team in the development, review and evaluation of the curriculum, including contribution to the self-assessment process
