English Teacher (Wigan) – Maternity Cover

A client secondary school located just north of Wigan town centre are looking to appoint an English Teacher on a full-time basis to cover a maternity leave from January 2020 to May 2020, which could potentially be extended to the end of the academic year. Applicants are welcome from both qualifed and newly qualified English teachers. 

  • English Teacher – full time 
  • January 2020 to May 2020 initially – Maternity cover
  • Wigan based secondary school (15 minute drive from the town centre)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (GBP23,720 - GBP40, 490)
  • Teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English (language and literature)
  • Post open to English teachers of all levels

                                                            

Applicant requirements

-          English Teacher (holding QTS)

-          Available to work January 2020 to May 2020 

-          Enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher who is able to deliver engaging lessons and boost attainment in the subject

-          Covering both English Literature (reading and writing) and English Language (written and spoken)

-          Coeducational, 11-16

-          Just a 15 minute drive from Wigan town centre

-          Ofsted graded ‘Good’ in the last inspection – commenting on “effective classroom management and pupil engagement on the whole”
