English Teacher

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment in the UK, are working in partnership with a secondary school in Manchester who are seeking an English Teacher to join them from September 2019.

  • Full time English Teacher required from September 2019
  • Permanent gap in the department, although temporary contract at first
  • Good Ofsted rated secondary school
  • Teaching English up to GCSE level
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

The English Teacher role will involved teaching Key stage 3 and 4 students English Literature and Language. The Curriculum the secondary school teaches is the AQA curriculum, so it is desirable if you have experience teaching this curriculum. You will be teaching students with a range of different academic abilities, from bottom to top set, up to GCSE level.

With the new academic year approaching, the high achieving English department is seeking an experience English Teacher, to fill an open vacancy. The English Teacher position is initially for the first term, with the opportunity of earning a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • evidence of good quality teaching and subject knowledge
  • an understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for excellent teaching and learning
  • the ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of the learners
  • evidence of good behaviour management skills
  • a willingness to contribute to enrichment activities

Our client's secondary school is located in the heart f Manchester, with a recent 'Good' Ofsted rating and an above average progress 8 score. Situated just off the M60, with excellent public transport links from Manchester Piccadilly, makes the secondary easily accessible.
