About our school:
We are a secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds in Preston. We are part of a successful academy group and our staff thrive with the additional support which this brings.

Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an outstanding English teacher with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes. When you join our team, you will be joining a family of staff and a high-performing and supportive network of primary and secondary schools.
The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality English teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning within English. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers. Excellent subject knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum is essential.
You will have:
- A degree-level qualification (in an English related field) and Qualified Teacher Status
- The ability to teach to English GCSE standard
- Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
- Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
