English teacher required for secondary school in Tameside due to a recent unexpected departure within their English department. The school are looking for a fully qualified teacher of English who will add a significant amount to an English department. The school has around 800 pupils on roll in a highly diverse catchment area with high levels of social deprivation. You will be given the opportunity to earn a school based contract after an initial temporary period through Teaching Personnel.

The school is part of a trust that has a number of secondary schools within it. Situated in the SK16 post code of Tameside the school are looking to appoint an inspirational English teacher for this fulltime post.

The school has a vision to become an outstanding school when they are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher of English who will increase student attainment. Currently the school is achieving just below national averages in their Progress 8 score and the percentage of students achieving an A*-C in Maths and English.
