Maternity leave cover required at this outstanding city centre based college; A-level experience necessary. The HR Manager has specifically requested:

“We need a Teacher of English to cover from Monday 22nd February until the end of July 2021. This is a full time role and our teaching hours are between 9am and 4pm. Any English teachers looking to apply should be experienced, hold a recognised teaching qualification and ideally have experience teaching A level English. They will, in the first instance, be expected to deliver the following courses: A Level English Literature, GCSE resits. They will also be required to take responsibility for a tutor group. This is with the view that schools and colleges reopen following the February half term”

As can be seen above, this college are looking for a confident and motivated English teacher to join their team from February until the end of the academic year in the first instance with a potential to transition onto a college contract.

The college are ideally looking for an English teacher who is looking to teach on a longer-term basis at a college which is academic in nature. Students are engaged in their learning and attend classes readily and with passion. Experience of English Literature at A-level is key with the ability to also teach some GCSE resits lessons.

This college is located in the central Manchester area making it very easy to access from all surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. The college has a campus style set up with all English classes being taught in the main building at this highly thought of and grandiose building. Those English teachers that live in the city centre will find it highly accessible via public transport or by walking given its locality with those travelling from further away being able to utilise the main M60 ring road.
