English Teacher

Join a popular oversubscribed secondary school committed to inclusive academic excellence. This role is suited to any experienced English teachers looking to secure a long term role in an Ofsted graded good secondary school.

The successful English teacher will be responsible for delivering KS3 and KS4 English across a range of age groups and abilities. We are looking for a passionate English teacher who has high standards of teaching and learning and will be able to secure good and outstanding progress and attainment across both key stages. Progression to Head of Department is available for the suitable candidate.

This popular secondary school is a high performing school with a thriving sixth form. The school values its diverse community and has over 1000 pupils on roll from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Due to the schools high standards of teaching and learning, it has consistently been graded as ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’. This school has welcoming staff and eager pupils who create a positive learning environment for students and staff.

Highlights of this English teacher position;

  • Full time maternity cover commencing January 2021 for one year.
  • Salary to reflect pay scale and teaching experience (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604)
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 English to mixed ability groups with progression to Head of Department available.
  • Manchester based secondary school, accessible from the city centre and surrounding areas.
