THE SCHOOL:

Following a disappointing Ofsted inspection in December 2016, the senior team and governors seek to restore the school’s positive ethos in partnership with other City of London Schools in the knowledge that only high calibre staff can rise to the challenge and contribute to the long-term objective, providing creative teaching, nurturing students’ abilities, and showing ambition for their own career as well as the students’.

Based in the heart of Islington, this; thriving, ethnically diverse school, is committed to ensuring that all students achieve success through an academic education, sports and the arts.

THE ROLE:

Based in the Humanities department, you will be required to teach English KS3 - KS4. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring good progress is made by all and providing interesting and stimulating lessons. You will be expected to work 5 days per week, contact time approx. 18 hours per week. The department itself is based in a newly built block, with state of the art modern facilities and overseen by a passionate and engaged HOD. The role starts in September and will go permanent for the right candidate.

REQUIERMENTS:

Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed

Previous UK teaching experience - English - KS4

A can do/proactive attitude
