Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Job Type: Long-Term Role (Full-Time)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle for a long-term position. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting children’s learning and development across the primary age range.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
-
Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required
-
Work closely with teaching staff to plan and prepare learning activities
-
Provide targeted interventions to support pupil progress
-
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
-
Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate
Requirements:
-
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
-
Proven experience working within a primary school setting
-
Strong classroom management skills
-
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for education and child development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
