Teaching personnel are recruiting a talented English teacher available for a full-time position at one of our client schools in Durham. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons and demonstrate a flair for teaching and learning. You will have high expectations for standards and achievement and be open to new and innovative ways of teaching English.

Position : English Teacher

Pay : £30,000 - £46,525

Location : Durham

Start date : May 2024 or as soon as possible

Contract type : Full-time

About the role :

  • Full time English teacher covering a timetable across Key Stage 3 & 4
  • 11-16 secondary school located in Durham
  • Must have excellent classroom management
  • Broad understanding of the national curriculum
  • Deliver lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.

Applicant requirements :

  • UK qualified QTS or completed by May 2024
  • Must be able to provide a DBS on the update service/willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS (child workforce only)
  • Be able to provide references from your teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
