TP Tutors is looking for passionate and dedicated English Tutors to deliver engaging and personalised tuition in Clifton and the surrounding Nottinghamshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners, boost confidence, and make a real difference in their academic progress.

About the Role

As an English Tutor, you’ll provide tailored one-to-one and small-group sessions in learners’ homes, schools, or community venues. Your lessons will focus on improving reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and exam preparation—helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English tuition from KS2–KS4 (including GCSE)

• Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and individual needs

• Support learners in building confidence and understanding challenging topics

• Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

• Comply with safeguarding and child protection policies

Requirements

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring English (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)

• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

• A patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Current safeguarding training
