English Teacher
Job description
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in central Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join its successful English department from September. The school has a strong academic ethos balanced with creativity and inclusivity, making it an ideal environment for an English specialist looking to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
-
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' confidence and analytical skills
-
Promote a love of reading and writing through innovative classroom strategies
-
Track student progress and provide targeted intervention and feedback
-
Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

QTS (or equivalent) with a specialism in English

Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4)

Passion for literature and language

Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills

A proactive and creative approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
