Exciting Opportunity for a Teacher of English!

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a love for English literature and language? Teaching Personnel is thrilled to offer a full-time position for a Teacher of English at an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Audenshaw. This role begins after Easter and extends until the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Role Details:

  • Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (in line with PayScale)

Responsibilities: As a Teacher of English, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and engaging students in the study of English literature and language. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic and interactive lessons that foster a love for English among students.
  • Teaching a range of topics within the English curriculum, including literature, language, and literacy skills.
  • Providing personalized support and feedback to students to aid their progress and attainment.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of high expectations and academic achievement.
