Permanent English Teacher required in Twickenham - £120-£230

Catholic School hiring for September now!

A school in Twickenham are currently looking for an experienced English teacher to join their team for the new academic year. They are looking to fill full time positions in this lovely Catholic school for a permanent role. It is a friendly working environment that provides support for staff both in the classroom and outside.

They are looking for English teachers who are passionate about their subject and aim to control the class through inspiration and engagement.

English Teacher Required

Details about the role are below:

  • Require UK recognised teaching qualifications (e.g. QTS, PGCE, BEd)
  • Experience working at Secondary school, KS3-5 level, more than 2 years is needed
  • The school is rated "outstanding" by Ofsted stating the support for teachers in the classroom has ensured all student progress at an equal rate.
  • Pay ranges from £120-230 a-day depending on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time role: 5 days a week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • The role would be for the full academic year, with an option to go permanent at the end of the year
  • Less than a 8 minute walk from Whitton station

The Role

This role is an opportunity for ambitious teachers who are looking to progress and take on more responsibilities. Teachers will be expected to ensure standards of education remain at a high level, by not only consistently challenging students, but challenging themselves. The successful candidate is expected to work hard during school hours, ensuring all work is completed and to the best the of their ability.

This role will be starting in September with interviews the week commencing the 22nd of April and continuing the following week. If you are interested in this role please apply to this ad.

Other similar roles are available for teachers who are interested in exciting new roles this September, but looking for part time of shorter term roles.

Teachers would be expected to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week as a full-time role. Planning, marking students work and providing feedback would be expected alongside conducting lessons. Experience working with SEN, languages or extra-curricular activities is not necessary, but is always welcome.

The School

The Twickenham based Catholic school has recently been redeveloped and has a base of an Edwardian style building. The new buildings and facilities add a modern twist to the rustic school. It has fantastic facilities for both learning and for sporting activities; including smart boards, drama/dance studio, fully equipped ICT suites and full size 3G pitches. In addition to the facilities, the Science bloc has 'top of the range' Science equipment.

Ofsted has rated the school as "outstanding." The emphasis on behaviour mentors ensures teachers have the support they need, meaning all students develop at a similar rate, and behaviour in the school is very good. Ofsted added:

"An excellent range of enrichment opportunities contribute strongly to pupils' all-round development."

Location

The school is accessible via Whitton station and is less than a 8 minute walk.
